Radio NOVA has added 9% to its market share in the latest JNLR radio ratings, signalling further growth for the station in the competitive Dublin radio market. *
NOVA has recorded this latest increase against a backdrop of large falls in market share for Q102, 98FM and FM104, who each fell 21%, 14% and 14% respectively.* The station also showed increased its daily listenership in the city. **
The latest survey covers the 12-month period from April 2013 to March 2014.
Pointing to the latest results, NOVA’s CEO & Programme Director, Kevin Branigan, said, “We’re extremely gratified by our continued growth in share and reach. We’re working very hard to grow our audience in key demographics and these latest results are a clear sign that we’re advancing steadily in audience terms”.
The latest figures come only months after the NOVA revitalised its schedule with the launch of its ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast show with Joan Lea and Marty Miller. The schedule reshuffle also saw presenter Pat Courtenay moving to afternoons and the launch of new workday and night-time 80s segments.
“Our recent schedule developments put us in a strong position to develop our audience over the next 12 months. We’re really excited for the future”, says Branigan.
Radio NOVA broadcasts to Dublin city, county and commuter belt. The station offers a diet of guitar-based music from artists like Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, The Police and Simple Minds to The Killers, Kings of Leon, The Foo Fighters and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
