Radio NOVA has increased its listenership by 29% to an all-time high of 146,000. The station increased its weekly listenership to 146,000 (+29%) and its daily listenership to 75,000 (27%). The latest survey covers the 12-month period from up to March 2015 The results are the latest in a long trend of audience growth for the station; NOVA broadcasts to Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow.
“We’re very pleased with the latest figures. We’ve worked really hard over the past 12 months to grow our audience and we can see the growth coming through in daily and weekly listenership as well as in market share”, says NOVA’s Kevin Branigan. “We’re adding substantial numbers of new listeners with each JNLR survey and these listeners are staying with us”.
NOVA’s continued advances come at a time of flux in the market that has seen many long-established stations struggle and they underline the station’s steady growth amid the market uncertainty. “We’ve invested significantly in our programmes over the past 18 months and we’re seeing that coming through now in these large increases in audience”, said Branigan.
NOVA is currently running a ‘Feedback Campaign’, asking its listeners to give it honest feedback about items such as the music played on the station, it’s news coverage, programmes and competitions. NOVA broadcasts to Dublin city, county and commuter belt, including parts of Kildare, Meath & Wicklow and plays a diet of popular classic and contemporary guitar-based music such as David Bowie, Simple Minds, Kings of Leon, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay and more.
The station’s programming schedule includes Dee Woods & Marty Miller with Morning Glory, The NOVA Work Day with Greg Gaughran, Pat Courtenay in the Afternoon and Sinead Ni Mhordha with NOVA Nights. Source: * JNLR Ipsos/MRBI 2015/1 – Dublin Commuter Belt, Weekly Reach compared to 2014/1 -Ends-
