MAXOL & RADIO NOVA RUN ‘APRIL FUEL’S DAY’

Radio NOVA & Maxol made April 1st a day with a difference for Dublin commuters, with the launch of a day-long on-air and promotional activation called ‘April Fuel’s Day’.  The promotion, which ran from 7am to 7pm on April 1st, gave listeners the chance to win free Maxol fuel  as well as free oil, car and screenwash checks and much more.

April Fuel’s Day, which was devised by NOVA’s Agency Sales team, was delivered across the station’s on-air programming, with outdoor experiential activation by the station’s ‘Rattle & Hummer Street Team’ who were on-hand to man the pumps at Maxol Mace Templeogue for the full day. It was also supported by social media activity on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube, which ran competitions to run holidays from Maxon Breaks – www.maxolbreaks.com.  NOVA’s Street Team assisted Maxol staff with their ‘5 Star Service’, which gives attended service at the pumps, free oil, tyre and screenwash checks and, for those feeling peckish, there was menu sampling from Moreush fresh food available all day. For those who bought fuel on the day there was a 10 cent per litre discount,

Radio NOVA’s Agency Manager, Garry Blair, says, “We ran “April Fuels Day with Maxol” across our on-air, promotion and digital teams. This ensured we reached the campaign objectives but, more importantly, allowed us to create genuine excitement and buzz around the promotion. Fans of Radio Nova were treated to something special that day and we look forward to doing more, with great partners like Maxol, in the near future“.
