We are delighted to report that our ‘Kits for Christmas’ campaign with the Irish Mirror which ran in December was a huge success with plenty of sports jerseys both old and new being donated to the ISPCC.
Mary Gamble, Director of Fundraising ISPCC says ‘The response was overwhelming with 246 jerseys collected during the month which was absolutely AMAZING! We are currently distributing the jerseys throughout the country via our support workers who visit the kids on a weekly basis… It was a great idea and from the initial feedback we are getting in there are some delighted kids out there!
Radio Nova would like to say a huge thank you to all those who got involved in the campaign which helped put smiles back on the faces of those less fortunate at Christmas.
Clara Kavanagh of the Irish Mirror says ‘We were delighted to partner up with Radio Nova for the Kits for Christmas campaign and help bring smiles to little sports fans this Christmas. It was great to be a part of a lovely project that helped bring so much joy to local communities and families’.
Radio Nova’s ‘Kits for Christmas’ campaign was the second seasonal campaign that Nova embarked on; Radio Nova ran a Christmas Toy Appeal in 2012.
The campaign ran for the month of December on the station’s ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast show, weekdays from 6am with Joan and Marty.
