Great news this week at Nova Towers as we announce the appointment of Colm Hayes as Programme Director.
Colm has a long track record in the Irish radio industry in programming, producing and presentation. Most recently presenter of ‘The Colm Hayes Show’ and the ‘Colm & Jim Jim Show’ on RTE 2FM, he previously served as Programme Director of FM104 for many years, and is credited for bringing the then-ailing station to the number one position in the mid-90s, where it has remained ever since. He was also instrumental in the creation of FM104’s Strawberry Alarm Clock breakfast show.
Radio Nova CEO Kevin Branigan told RadioToday: “Colm has a long track record of achievement in programming and we’re delighted to welcome him to Nova. This is a sign of intent for us. Our ambition is to be in the top tier of radio stations in Dublin, along with 98FM and FM104 and the appointment of Colm to the important position of Programme Director is an important one for us”.
Colm Hayes added: “Nova just feels right. We can make this radio station bigger and better. It’s the station I listen to all the time. We have plans to make this a really special radio, relevant radio station for the greater Dublin area.”
Nova broadcasts to Dublin City, county and commuter belt and had 135,000 listeners in the most recent JNLR.
