Dublin – 23rd December, 2014
One simple question has netted a Dublin radio listener €5000 in cash for Christmas!
Radio NOVA’s Secret Santa has been caught for the 3rd and final time of 2014! The station’s major Xmas promotion ended on Monday after Noel Mahon from Ranelagh successfully caught Secret Santa and asked him the well-hyped question, “Are you the Radio Nova Secret Santa?”, which netted him the station’s Xmas prize of €5000 in cash.
Noel told Radio Nova’s Greg Gaughran on-air that he had been listening to the Secret Santa clues on NOVA since the start of December; his hard work paid off yesterday when he correctly identified Secret Santa outside TGI Friday’s on St Stephen’s Green.
This is the 3rd year in a row that Radio Nova has run this promotion where listeners are given the chance to win €5000 in cash and a sack load of great Xmas prizes. The festive competition had multiple winners this year, with Secret Santa already being found twice during December, in addition to yesterday’s prize win.
“This was the biggest year of Secret Santa yet, with hordes of people roaming around town trying to identify him”, said NOVA’s Kevin Branigan. “As well as being great fun, the competition is a key driver of brand awareness and has been a notable success for us over the past three years. Secret Santa has now gone back to the North Pole to plan next year’s campaign, which will have a lot of interesting twists”, he said.
NOVA broadcast to Dublin city, county and commuter belt, including Wicklow, Kildare and Meath on 100.3FM.
