Radio NOVA has recorded its highest ever daily listenership in its 4-history in the latest JNLR radio ratings. The survey, which covers the 12-month period from Jan 2014 to Dec 2014, gives the radio station 71,000 daily listeners, which is a 20% increase on this time last year. The survey also shows that the station has grown its total weekly audience by a further 13% to 132,000. *
The results come out as the radio station is preparing for a two-day fundraising pledge drive for Homelessness in conjunction with Focus Ireland next week.
The results are the latest in a long trend of consistent audience growth for the station; NOVA broadcasts to Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow.
“We’re chuffed to bits with these latest figures! People love listening to us – pure and simple”, says CEO Kevin Branigan. “We pay close attention to what our listeners want and we don’t take ourselves too seriously – it’s about playing great music and having a laugh at the same time”.
NOVA’s continued advances come at a time of flux in the market and underline the station’s steady growth amid the market uncertainty. It is the seventh survey in a row that NOVA has increased its weekly listenership.
NOVA broadcasts to Dublin city, county and commuter belt, including parts of Kildare, Meath & Wicklow and plays a diet of popular classic and contemporary guitar-based music such as Simple Minds, Kings of Leon, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Killers, Fleetwood Mac and more.
The station’s programming schedule includes Dee Woods & Marty Miller with Morning Glory, Greg Gaughran for your Work Day, Pat Courtenay in the Afternoon and Sinead Ni Mhordha with Nova Nights
