Radio Nova has announced Choosy as brand sponsor of Friday Night 80s. The Irish comparison site, owned by Independent News and Media, helps people compare and switch their home energy supplier as easily as possible.
Friday Night 80s is presented by Dee Woods and brings 3 hours of the best 80s music every Friday night from 7-10pm, on Radio Nova! “Let’s face it, the 1980s gave us a lot of dodgy things: hair, fashion, Kim Kardashian… but every Friday night on Radio Nova, D digs out the musical gems that rocked the decade. From those lighters-in-the-air power ballads, to the anthems you can sing into your hairbrush, get ready to be reminded of the best tunes, born in 80s, that still sound amazing today”, said Dee.
Friday Night 80s plays everything from UB40, U2 and Queen to Prince, ABC and ZZ Top.
The partnership will include programme sponsorship, commercial inventory and on-air native content as well as digital and social activity across Radio Nova’s Nova.ie website, social channels and smartphone app and was negotiated by Keith Dixon, Agency Sales Manager, Radio Nova and Nicola Murphy, IRS+.
“Choosy jumped at the chance to get involved with Radio Nova’s Friday Night 80s – we think it’s the perfect antidote to a long week, and a chance to have fun with some great music, whether you’re at home or behind the wheel. Choosy is all about making the right choice for your home energy and broadband, and Friday Night 80s always makes the right musical choices from a much-loved decade. The team at Choosy.ie are big fans of the 80s and Radio Nova, and we’ll be picking a ‘Choosy Choon’ each week to add to the musical gems from Dee Woods, so listen out for our selection!”, said Tony Cross, from Choosy.ie.
“We’re delighted to welcome such am energetic brand as Choosy to Nova. Our Friday Night 80s audience is ideal for driving brand awareness and new customers to Choosy and we looking forward to a long association with the Choosy brand”, said Garrett Gunnigle, Sales Director, Radio Nova.
