Friday night turned gold for Radio Nova at the IMRO Radio Awards on October 7th, with us receiving four national awards at the prestigious annual event in Kilkenny.
Dee Woods received GOLD for Radio DJ of the year. PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe won gold for their work with the Jack and Jill foundation in the Community and Social action category. RADIO NOVA documentary, ‘A Mod World’, produced and presented by Cathal Funge, picked up silver for best Music, Arts and Culture doc and PJ and Jim also bagged a bronze in the Best Breakfast Show category. Also, Nova presenter Kieran McGuinness was nominated for ‘Specialist Radio Programme’ for the fourth year running.
It’s fair to say that a great night was had by the Nova team in Kilkenny and that the following morning was not so good!
