Breakfast of Champions: PJ & Jim Take the Top Spot
Radio Nova has won the coveted No.1 Dublin breakfast show position, with Morning Glory with PJ Gallagher and Jim McCabe officially overtaking FM104’s long-established Strawberry Alarm Clock in the latest JNLR figures.
The milestone marks the end of almost 30-year run for FM104 in holding the top spot at breakfast-time in the capital, representing a significant shift in the capital’s radio listening landscape.
Morning Glory with PJ & Jim is now almost 10% ahead of the Strawberry Alarm Clock , confirming Radio Nova as the most-listened-to breakfast show in Dublin and cementing Nova’s position as the top music radio station in Dublin.

Jim McCabe said: “Such amazing news! I actually thought PJ was a bit overcome. He turned bright red – like a strawberry! Turned out it was just trapped wind but still!”
The latest figures confirm Radio Nova as the leading music radio station in the competitive Dublin marketplace, with almost 30% more share of listening than FM104 and almost double that of Today FM.
