Radio NOVA Teams Up With ‘Mind Over Matter’ For Charity AWARE

Radio NOVA has teamed up with ‘Mind Over Matter’, a fundraising event taking place on the 10th October 2018, in locations across Ireland.

Mind Over Matter is an initiative that aims to bring the Design community closer, reduce the stigma around mental health, and raise much needed funds for mental health awareness. This innovative initiative enables businesses of all sizes to consult with the best of Irish design talent for a minimal fee, on October 10th, World Mental Health Day, with 100% of all proceeds going to AWARE.

Businesses all over Ireland can avail of this opportunity as the national day of creativity will take place in Dublin, Belfast, Carlow, Cork, Dundalk, Limerick and Waterford. There is something available for every type of business.

Radio NOVA’s CEO Kevin Branigan said, “We’re more happy to support this initiative. It’s very important that the stigma around mental health is broken down and it’s great to see such an initiative from the creative community”.

The event is being supported by just under 200 designers from all over Ireland who have donated their time and knowledge to support this great cause. Designers from all specialities are represented including graphic designers, UX, architects, creative strategist, illustrator, interior design, product designers, architects and web developers.

The initiative is being supported by the likes of Accenture, The Sunday Times and Dublin City Council.

Mind Over Matter Founder Kim MacKenzie Doyle said, Design is really accessible and does not always assume the massive price tag companies expect. It makes a fundamental difference in how your customers engage with you… A designer can see things differently, essentially from a customer centred viewpoint, they can resolve problems with creative solutions, spot an opportunity and make things work more effectively. It is not a marketing activity it’s a business development necessity. Collectively, just under 200 designers want to get behind this initiative to reduce the stigma around mental health and raise funds for mental health awareness and we’re very grateful to Radio Nova for their generous support. ‘

Radio NOVA broadcasts to Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow on FM and nationally on its smartphone and on the Irish Radio Player. The station broadcasts a diet of guitar-based music from Irish and International acts from David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors and Thin Lizzy to The Killers, Kodaline, The Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon.

The station has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2010, with the most recent JNLR ratings giving it 144,000* listeners throughout Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow.
