Delighted to see that our website Nova.ie has been nominated in the category of Best Music Blog in the Blog Awards Ireland 2013. The regularly-updated music news site is written and maintained by our presenters Marty Miller and Dee Woods and features news stories with a particular focus on the bands and artists who make up the Radio Nova playlist.
The awards, which will bring together the Irish online communityin October 2013, are run by Amanda Webb, Beatrice Whelan and Lorna Sixsmith.
We’re up against a number of other music blogs in this category, including Nialler9 and Goldenplec. The Awards take place in the Osprey Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare on Saturday 12th October 2013. The final shortlist will be announced on September 8th.

Really cool to get a nod this year. Our listeners love to interact and now it’s easier than ever with smartphones apps and site access. Its great to play an artist on the radio, then mention that news about that artist is on the site right now, driving hits and impressions at NOVA.ie. Radio isn’t just radio any more. Stations have got to have a hefty presence online too.
