RADIO NOVA’S ‘KITS FOR CHRISTMAS’ CAMPAIGN A HUGE SUCCESS FOR THE SECOND YEAR RUNNING

We’re delighted to report that our campaign saw NOVA encouraging listeners throughout Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow to donate used and second-hand sports jerseys of all types to be given to disadvantaged children.

The jersey drive resulted in hundreds of pristine and well-kept sports jerseys being distributed by the ISPCC to junior sportsters form disadvantaged families in the run up to Christmas. We put a particular push this time around on getting schools involved, with NOVA ‘Kits for Xmas’ collection boxes placed in numerous schools through Dublin city, county and commuter belt.

NOVA partnered with the Irish Mirror in this year’s festive venture.

Susie Halpin, National Fundraising Campaigns Executive
ISPCC said: “We were delighted to have been part of such a successful campaign led by Radio Nova. The public were so generous with their donations of jerseys and kits. We are happy to say they have all gone to deserving homes, so on behalf of all the families ISPCC work with a huge thank you!”

Radio NOVA has become well-known for its charity ventures around Xmas time. We previously ran a Xmas Toy Appeal, with Kits for Xmas running over the past two years.

“Radio Nova’s ‘Kits for Christmas’ 2014 campaign was a great success and was the third seasonal campaign that the station embarked upon;  Radio Nova ran a Christmas Toy Appeal in 2012. We’d like to say a huge thank you to all those who got involved in the campaign, which helped put smiles back on the faces of those less fortunate at Christmas”, said Elaine Leonard, Promotions Manager at NOVA.

The Radio Nova ‘Kits for Christmas’ campaign ran for the month of December on the station’s ‘Morning Glory’ breakfast show, weekdays from 6am with Dee and Marty. Radio Nova broadcasts on 100.3FM to Dublin, Kildare, Meath & Wicklow.
