The Role
The primary function of this role is to develop and grow the brand presence of both Radio Nova and Classic Hits Radio on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok and online.
This is a combined role, balancing social media management and web content oversight.
You will:
- Manage and oversee the social media output and development of both stations.
- Monitor, moderate, and approve all posts across platforms to maintain brand quality and consistency, ensuring all good practices and graphic identity guidelines are applied.
- Monitor competitor radio stations’ social media output to identify opportunities.
- Maintain a weekly social content schedule, ensuring a good spread of posts.
- Oversee and manage the weekly content output of Nova.ie and Classichits.ie.
- Write editorial content on a daily basis to populate both websites with engaging, timely content, spread throughout the day.
- Work with the writing team to schedule and publish articles at planned times.
- Monitor both social media and website metrics, proposing strategies to improve reach, engagement, and performance.
- Ensure a 360° content strategy across web, radio, and social by sharing web content with presenters for on-air use, promoting website content on social channels, and ensuring digital, on-air, and social content work cohesively.
Required skills:
- 3+ years of experience posting on Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok
- Video editing expertise, particularly in short-form 16:9 video
- Strong copywriting skills for online news content
- Knowledge of the Irish media landscape
- Experience reporting on social media and website metrics (Meta Business Suite, Tiktok Studio, Google Analytics)
- Creativity: developing engaging social media content ideas to promote both brands online
- Trendspotting: identifying new social media trends, keeping up with algorithm updates, knowing what works and what doesn’t for your audience.
